Ride The Cyclone Wiki

"The Uranium Suite" (not to be confused with Uranium Suite / Tragic Fact) is the current choir introduction number for Ride the Cyclone.[1] It begins with the choir singing about their friendly town. Afterwards, Karnak narrates over the choir riding on and dying on the Cyclone roller coaster. Following their deaths, the choir sails through space, spinning round and round. As they awake in limbo, they realize that they never got to fulfil their dreams of escaping Uranium and now they will never leave their town at all.

Lyrics[]

Ocean:
Uranium,

Choir, except Ricky:
Uranium
That's our town, our friendly town!

Ocean:
Uranium,

Choir, except Ricky:
Uranium!
That's our town, our highway town

[NOEL]
They sky is almost blue here-
Grain elevators too, here

Choir, except Ricky:
The pride and joy of sweet Saskatchewan

Constance:
We came here for the half-life-
And stayed here for our whole life

Choir, except Ricky:
To give the whole wide world plutonium!

Ocean:
Uranium,

Choir, except Ricky:
Uranium!
That's our town, our friendly town
Oh no no
We will never leave this town at all...
(la-la-la-la-la)

Karnak, spoken:
In my part in the story

Choir:
(la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la)

Karnak, spoken:
I read all the children's fortunes

Choir:
(la-la-la-la-la)

Karnak, spoken:
I felt their hopes, thoughts, dreams

Choir:
(la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la)

Karnak, spoken:
Knowing they would board the doomed rollercoaster

Choir:
(la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la)

Karnak, spoken:
And could tell them nothing

Choir:
(la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la)
(la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la)

Karnak, spoken:
I even suggested that they ride the Cyclone

Choir:
(la-la-la-la-la)

Karnak, spoken:
On Monday, September 14th
They would board the Cyclone rollercoaster at 6:17 pm
At 6:19, the same rollercoasters front axle would break
Causing it to derail at the apex of the loop-de-loop
Hurtling the children to their deaths

Choir:
Aah!
And then you're sailing through space
You don't know up from down
And you feel a little strange
From all that spinning 'round-
And everything you loved
And everything you dreamed
And everything you feared
And everything that seemed so-
Oh so terrifying
It's far behind on the ground
Like our far-from-the-city-little-itty-bitty-pretty hometown.
Just a teeny, tiny dot on a wee blue ball
And we've all been spinning
(All been spinning)
Round and round and round
And round and round
Round and round
And round and round and round
And round and round

Ocean & Constance:
Empty streets of empty shops

Mischa & Noel:
(Ura-nium)

Ocean & Constance:
Shuttered rows of mom and pops

Mischa & Noel:
(Ura-nium)

Ocean & Constance:
Bow down to the mega shopping mall

Mischa & Noel:
The smart ones all packed up and went

Ocean & Constance:
(Ura-nium)

Mischa & Noel:
Why stay if you can't pay the rent

Ocean & Constance:
(Ura-nium)

Mischa & Noel:
We will never leave this town at all

Choir:
Drink some brew, join the choir
Build yourself a funeral pyre
Uranium, our dead end dive
We'll never leave this town alive
No we will never-
Leave.
This.
Town.
At.
All!

Karnak, spoken:
Greetings, children
It's time to play

Choir:
Earth is sky and sky is ground
Did we finally leave our town?
